Mera Peak Climbing takes us to the mountainous Everest Region. Mera Peaks offers reasonable itinerary and cost for summit the peak in this trekking/climbing adventure, we ascent 6,476 meters (21,247 ft), to summit the peak by the same name. Mera Peak is regarded as one of the highest trekking peak of Nepal. Due to its geographical location in the area, spectacular view of Chamlang, Makalu, Baruntse, Lhotse and Mount Everest can been seen from the summit.
Mera Peak is a popular climbing destination that does not follow the standard Everest Trekking Route and requires only basic mountaineering skills (perhaps some more effort at the top). The climb is graded Alpine Grade F (easy) in the past but recently upgraded to Grade PD (not very difficult) for the final 40 meters climb. Nevertheless, the peak remains a top attraction among several trekkers and mountaineers.
Mera Peak was first successfully summited by Col. Jimmy Roberts and Sherpa Sen Tenzing on May 20, 1953. Since then, the mountain summit has been one of the 33 most popular destinations for peak climbing in Nepal. Hinku and Hongu Valley add spectacular highlight to the already mesmerizing climbing activity.

Mera Peak can only be climbed from the north side. Before a few years, there was another route but a huge crevass has made an obstacle on the old route. Climb is steep and fixed climbing ropes are used to assist the ascent. The fixed ropes are arranged before every climbing season.
Mera peak requires proper climbing gears. The climbing gears includes personal accessories like crampons, boots, outfit, gloves, ropes, and so on. Similarly, tents are carried and need to be set up during the stay at the high camp. Proper sleeping materials including warm food and healthy drinks are also a necessity at such a cold region and altitude. Tea-houses are available in the lower regions throughout the trek where warm beds and good food are provided. Of course menu choices are limited but locals thrive to provide more and more service to the trekkers/visitors.
