Kathmandu city is the capital of Nepal. It is a valley surrounded by hills like Shivapuri, Phulchowki, Nagarjun, and Chandragiri. Even though the busy life Kathmandu may seem unexpectedly on the go at all times, it has its own glory when it comes to history, culture, and religion. Newar is the local people of the valley originally but now it is home to almost every other casts too including Brahmin, Chhetri, Gurung, Magar, etc. This short five days trip aims to show you the culture here by exploring few of the UNESCO World Heritage sites within Kathmandu. Elevating at 1400 meters, you can reach this beautiful city by flight. However, mode of transportation available and convenient within the city is the public bus, taxi and walking. For rest of the trip, we walk around and explore some sites in the bustling city, passing through crowded streets and beautiful art everywhere. Our trip includes sightseeing within the city. Places we will visit are Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath and Swayambhunath Stupa on the first day. For our second day, we will go to Patan Durbar Square and Kathmandu Durbar Square. On our third day, we explore Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Around the Durbar Squares, buildings, pillars, and statues dating back to Malla dynasty rule with delicately carved details are seen, each telling a different story. All these heritages have a peaceful aura and unique religious values which makes them special. Best time to visit Kathmandu is from October to November.
