Kathmandu Chispani Hiking is a great outdoor activity that takes one around the beautiful village of Sundarijal towards Chisapani and Sankhu. Sundarijal is a beautiful village on the northern part of the valley, touched by the famous Shivapuri National Park.
The trip starts with visit to world heritage sites in Kathmandu such as Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swayambhu along with famous Durbar Squares. Once at Sundarijal, we hike for 5-6 hours to reach the beautiful village of Chisapani. We will hike up the hills and it provides for beautiful views of the valleys and the mountains.
Sankhu is another historical town of Kathmandu where we will be hiking from Chispani. It is an important pilgrimage site for Hindus and was an important trading stop between Kathmandu and Tibet during ancient trade. The windy town received a huge blow during the April 2015 earthquake.
After your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be joined by our representative at the plane terminal and will be escorted to the hotel. With official strategies, you will be offered Kathmandu to Chisapani hiking planning. Overnight at Kathmandu.
After breakfast, you will be taken for visiting by our delegate to inheritance areas of Kathmandu valley, for instance, Swayambhunath stupa, Pashupatinath temple, and Boudhanath stupa.
We will initiate our day with a delightful breakfast and head towards Sundarijal and start hiking through the forest of Shivapuri hills. Hike from Sundarijal to Chisapani (2300m) is 5-6 hours of strolling uphill enjoying the boon of nature we will finally reach the astonishing views of Chisapani. Overnight at hotel.
Start day with greet from incredible mountain view in Chisapani, we will continue our hike towards Sankhu. You will get chance to experience the ancient Newari lifestyle along with some vistas of astonishing landscapes. Later we will drive back to Kathmandu.

This trek is suitable for average people who are moderately fit, thus no previous experience is required. Some physical fitness programs such as running, swimming, hiking is recommended before you embark on your journey. Whilst on the trek, it is common to experience some discomfort before being fully acclimatized.
To prepare for a strenuous trek like this you should begin training at least two to three months before your departure. As a guideline, an hour of aerobic exercise three to four times per week would be considered a minimum requirement. The best preparation is bushwalking involving relatively steep ascents and descents. If you can manage a couple of valley floor to ridgeline ascents per comfortable and able to enjoy the trek to the fullest.
