Everest High Passes Trek also called Everest Three passes Trek is one of the most popular and challenging trek in Nepal covering Everest Base Camp and the three passes Renjo La, Cho La & Kongma La High Passes Trekking in Nepal ensures the trekkers reach the height to view the dazzling Himalayas is relatively a strenuous trek, but it won’t stop trekkers from enjoying the scenic view the trek has to offer.
To commence this trek the trekkers should fly from Kathmandu to Lukla where they can observe the scenic view of the Himalayas mentioned earlier. Tagging along to the Himalayas, the trekkers will also come across glacier lakes, Khumbu Icefall, Gokyo Lake, and Sagarmatha National Park featuring varieties of floras and faunas, and many other natural beauties along the trek. The trekkers will visit ancient monasteries, caves, the hotel situated at highest altitude (i.e.Hotel Everest View ), Sherpa villages, Gokyo village, and many other small villages along the way. Three Pass Trek also gives the trekkers an opportunity to identify the struggles of Sherpas who live in that region. The trekkers will come to learn a lot about the culture, language, and tradition of Sherpa and Tibetan locale residing in Khumbu region. Though the Three Passes Trek may be strenuous, it surely guarantees wonderful experience in the lap of the Himalayas.

From Kathmandu, we will take a 45-minute towards Lukla. Lukla flight is unique due to the stunning mountain views and landing at one of world's highest altitude airstrip.
Lukla is a bustling town with shops, restaurants and facilities for guests. After some rest, we will start trekking towards Phakding village. It will take 3-4 hours of trekking according to the pace. Phakding is larger than Lukla and is equipped with restaurants, tea-houses, bars and restaurants for trekkers.

Wake up to a beautiful sunrise at Phakding. After breakfast, we start the trek following the trails. Encounter local people, children, yaks and fellow trekkers as you move through Sagarmatha National Park and a few registration posts held up by local police. Cross high suspension bridge and climb until you reach Namche Bazaar, the gateway to Everest. Namche is also housed with various accommodation, food and hangout facilities.

We take to spend the day in Namche Bazaar to adjust physically to the high altitude, referred as acclimatization. Acclimatization helps adopt our body to the increasing altitude and reduces the risk of altitude sickness.
Namche has Tibetan market selling clothes and cheap Chinese goods with the weekly wholesale market to browse. Even though we are acclimatizing, we will still need to stay active. So let's hike up to the famous Everest View Hotel and back.

We leave Namche Bazaar and trek for 6 hours to Thame (3,850m) by crossing a bridge over Bhote Koshi River. Overnight at a lodge in Thame.

Chasing the fascinating view of Kongde Ri, we trek towards Marulung (4,210m). After 6 hours of trek, we rest at a lodge in Marulung.

We hike for 4 hours to reach Gokyo Ri (5,357m) viewpoint. We can relish the view of Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Nuptse, Pumori, Makalu, and many other mountains. Overnight in Gokyo.

We reach to Dzongla (4,830m) via our second pass i.e. Cho La (5,368m). In 8-hour trek, we stumble across a frozen lake and revel the view of the Himalayas from the top of the pass filled with prayer flags. Overnight at a lodge in Dzongla

Our journey from Lobuche leads us to yet another Sherpa settlement, Gorakshep after 6-7 hours trek. This is a popular stop for trekkers. Nuptse, Cholatse, Lobuche, and Pumori overlook the Lobuche village as we visit the Everest Base Camp including Majestic Mount Everest.

Chasing the Lobuche Peak, we trek to Lobuche (4,900m) with the magnificent view of Ama Dablam in the background. After 5 hours trek, we rest at a lodge in Lobuche.

We leave Chhukung for Tengboche (3,860m). After 6 hours of trek, we visit the famous ancient Buddhist monastery of Tengboche Monastery aka Dawa Choling Gumba which hosts the stunning view of the Himalayas in its premises. Overnight at a guesthouse in Tengboche.

We are on our way back from Tengboche to Namche Bazaar with 6-7 hours trek. Spending our last night at Namche, talking to locals and kids is an amazing way to get little closer to the mountainous lifestyle.

Bidding our goodbye to glimpses of the highest summit of the world, we return back to Lukla from Namche Bazaar by trekking for about 6-7 hours. Every moment of the last couple of days spent will be a lifetime memory.
