Daman Hiking


Hiking trip to Daman it is situated at the height of 2100m above sea level. Daman is known for it’s vantage location in viewing the Himalayan peaks such as Mt. Everest, Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Dorjelakpa, Gaurishankar, Cho yu etc. There is a view tower from where one can have a panoramic view of 300 miles of the Himalayan range. There is a viewing tower that has a telescope . There is not much in this town. On the side towards Hetauda, there are some interesting rhododendron forests, which is especially worth seeing during spring.

  • day 1

    Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m) / Transfer to Hotel

    HAT Representative will be waiting with your name plate just outside the International Airport in Kathmandu. After your arrival, we will organize your transportation to the designated hotel in Kathmandu. Spend the afternoon browsing the beautiful streets of Thamel or visit the nearby Kathmandu Durbar Square. In the evening, we will meet for welcome dinner and tour briefing.

  • day 2

    Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing

    After breakfast, we will join guided tour to visit various sites in the valley - most of them listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site. Get off and browse the famous Pashupatinath Temple, Durbar Square, Swayambhunath and Boudhanath.

  • day 3

    Day 03: Drive to Daman (2322m) [5-Hours]

    After breakfast, we will drive for 5 hours towards the beautiful village of Daman. Daman is about 77 kilometers Southwest of Kathmandu. It will be a beautiful getaway with panoramic view of mountains. During winter, Daman is even more beautiful with snowfall. Explore the beautiful town of Daman.

    Day 04: Explore Daman

    Spend the day exploring the beautiful town of Daman. There is a picnic spot nearby and it is possible to do a short hike during the morning or the evening.

  • day 5

    Day 05: Drive back to Kathmandu [5-Hours]

    After breakfast, we will drive back to Kathmandu. We will reach our hotel within 5-6 hours depending on traffic. Browse the bustling streets of Thamel, buy souvenirs and enjoy the evening with your group in one of the several restaurants and bars in the area.

    Day 06:Airport Transfer / Departure

    We are back where we started in the capital city. Pack your bags and make sure you have brought some sovereigns to take back home to friends and family. Enjoy your breakfast in relief. FAQ

This trek is suitable for average people who are moderately fit, thus no previous experience is required. Some physical fitness programs such as running, swimming, hiking is recommended before you embark on your journey. Whilst on the trek, it is common to experience some discomfort before being fully acclimatized.
To prepare for a strenuous trek like this you should begin training at least two to three months before your departure. As a guideline, an hour of aerobic exercise three to four times per week would be considered a minimum requirement. The best preparation is bushwalking involving relatively steep ascents and descents. If you can manage a couple of valley floor to ridgeline ascents per comfortable and able to enjoy the trek to the fullest.
Yes, our airport representative will be there to greet you at the airport. S/he will be displaying an Ace the Himalaya signboard outside the airport terminal. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel in our tourist vehicle.
